    The Culverhouse College of Business at the University of Alabama is seeking a candidate for a tenured Associate or Full Professor position in Economics in the Department of Economics, Finance, and Legal Studies. Primary duties include teaching economics at the graduate and undergraduate levels, engaging in a research program that generates external funding and results in articles in high-quality scholarly publications, and performing service as assigned by the Department, College, and University. 

     

    Required Qualifications: (1) A doctoral degree in economics or a closely related field; (2) a demonstrated record of research published in high-quality journals and consistent external funding; (3) demonstrated high quality teaching.


    Preferred Qualifications: Experimental and behavioral scholars whose work focuses on any topic will be given full consideration, but those whose research overlaps with education, health, or other quality of life issues are especially encouraged to apply.


    Salary and rank are commensurate with experience and achievements.

    The University of Alabama Culverhouse College of Business is inviting applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor position in International Business.  

    Ideal candidates should demonstrate a strong record (or promise thereof in the case of Assistant rank) in both research and teaching. The candidate will help continue the rise of UA’s research and teaching reputation, culture, and impact. We are open to a broad range of IB research foci but are especially interested in those focusing on IB-related aspects of strategy, entrepreneurship or organizational behavior. Although not required, we are interested in candidates willing to teach import/export management. At the graduate level, the college offers a Master’s in Management with a focus in Global Business, and at the undergraduate level, the college offers an International Business Minor. Global business is also part of the curriculum for UA’s MBA and EMBA programs. UA also offers a PhD in Management.
     

    Minimum qualifications: 1) A Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Management or a closely related field from an AACSB accredited Business School; (2) demonstrated potential for conducting high quality research and publishing in top Management and International Business journals; (3) demonstrated potential for high quality teaching in International Business.

    California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (Cal Poly Pomona) invites applications for a tenure track, assistant professor faculty position in the Management and Human Resources (MHR) Department beginning Fall 2022.The successful candidate is expected to teach human resources and/or organizational behavior courses. 

    The Faculty Position. The MHR Department seeks a candidate who strives for excellence in both teaching and research in a highly collegial working environment.  The new faculty is expected to: 1) Teach primarily undergraduate and graduate courses in human resources, with a secondary focus on organizational behavior and principles of management, 2) Maintain a well-defined stream of quality research, 3) Advise students, and demonstrate a commitment to participate in department, college, university, and professional service, and 4) Applicants whose work incorporate a commitment to diversity in higher education are particularly encouraged to apply.

    Preferred/Desired Qualifications: 1) A doctorate from a AACSB International accredited business school (or its international equivalent) is preferred, 2) Relevant professional industry experience within the last five years, and willingness to develop relationships with the business community are highly desirable, 3) Experience with grant writing is highly desirable, 4) Experience teaching human resources courses such as Human Resources Management, Human Resources Information Systems, Training and Development, HR Staffing, Recruitment and Selection, Compensation and Benefits, and Strategic Human Resources, as well as Organizational Behavior and/or Principles of Management is preferred, 5) Experience teaching other management courses, such as Leadership, Negotiation and Conflict Management, Organizational Change and Development, International Management, Ethics, and Diversity Management is highly desirable, and 6) Experience as an advisor with national management and/or human resource student organizations such as SHRM, SAM, LBSA, NSLS, etc.is also highly desirable.

    Tenure-track Opening in Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management

    The Department of Management and Entrepreneurship in the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business (LSB) is seeking applicants for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor in Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management starting in fall 2022.  We seek candidates who are effective teachers, scholars, and mentors to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in management, organizational behavior, human resource management, and Elon’s Core Curriculum. Successful candidates will embody the following characteristics:

    ·        Is passionate about teaching organizational behavior and human resource management courses to undergraduates and Masters students, and has a proven record in teaching excellence.

    ·        Has a vibrant research stream that is interesting to both academics and practitioners, and a proven ability to publish peer-reviewed academic journal articles (articles for practitioner audience, peer-reviewed books, teaching cases, and other teaching materials are also valued).

    ·        Has an earned doctorate from an AACSB-accredited university in the field of management, organizational behavior, human resource management, or a related field.  ABD will be considered with assurances of completion before the position start date.

    Typical teaching loads for junior faculty are five courses per year with class sizes ranging from about 20 to 33 students and two to three preparations per year.     Two Tenure-track Faculty Positions in OB/HR at Florida State University

    The Department of Management at Florida State University will fill two tenure-track faculty positions in Organizational Behavior (OB) and Human Resources (HR) at the Assistant Professor level. Both positions will start in August 2022. An earned doctorate is required by the Summer of 2022.

    Responsibilities

    The position carries a 2/2 teaching load, with a 1-course release for the first three years. Courses in the Management Department’s curriculum include undergraduate OB (e.g., OB, Leadership, or Cross-cultural management) and HR (e.g., Staffing, Compensation, or Training and Development) topics, as well as graduate offerings (MBA and Ph.D.)

    Candidates must demonstrate an interest in and a capacity for conducting high-quality scholarly research. Engagement with our highly-regarded Ph.D. program is expected. In recent years, our graduates placed at reputable peer institutions, such as Auburn University, the University of Arkansas, Baylor University, Iowa State University, Michigan State University, Northeastern University, Mississippi State University, Kennesaw State University, the University of Tennessee, the University of North Texas, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and the University of Utah.

    Minimal service activity is expected during the initial years of appointment.

    Qualifications

    A doctorate from an accredited institution in an area of specialization consistent with OB and HR is required. Evidence of research publications and work in progress is expected. Experience teaching course(s) in online and traditional formats is preferred.

    The Department of Management has eleven full-time tenure-track faculty members in two general categories: Organizational Behavior/Human Resource Management (Shanna Daniels, Jack Fiorito, Wayne Hochwarter, Sam Kang, Samantha Paustian-Underdahl, and Gang Wang) and Strategic Management (Michael Holmes, David King, Bruce Lamont, David Maslach, andHoracio Rousseau). 

    Bruce Lamont is the current Department Chair, while Darren Brooks serves as the Associate Department Chair.
